Our 3rd Stay at Home Retreat!!!

Some of the best things about a stamping/scrapbooking retreat is being able to spread out all your tools, and products out on the table and not have to pick up after yourself for the whole weekend, or getting table gifts everyday, or spending time with fellow crafters!, or how about getting food catered to you that you wouldn't normally cook for yourself? Well not only did the retreat consist of all that, but you also got to sleep in your own comfy bed each night! This retreat started Friday evening at 6pm where everyone had fun table gifts waiting for them, followed by a baked potato bar with lots of fixings, yummy warm choco chip cookies, and snacks all evening until midnight. We even played 2 games of bingo where you could win fun prizes!!

Saturday after sleeping in...we got started again at 10am and picked up our projects where we left off. The table gift that morning...

After playing for a while, lunch was served:  With thee best fresh made torta rolls from a local donut shop. ;)

We played two more games of bingo on Saturday here a few pics of the winners...

Bingo (Part Two)

Bingo was a big hit and I'm planning on doing it again in June 2016. Here is the rest of the pictures.

Card base is Very Vanilla, mats are Watermelon Wonder and Pear Pizzazz and Very Vanilla.The "Cherry on Top" is Real Red punched with the Tree Builder Punch and topped with a Rhinestone. The three scoops are Chocolate Chip, Pink Pirouette and Pear Pizzazz card stock punched with the Tree Builder Punch. The cone is Hello Honey card stock stamped with Soft Suede ink and cut out by hand. We used the Bear Hugs and Sprinkles of Life stamp sets.

The last Make-n-Take is a gift card holder. We folded a Kraft Tag a Bag gift bag and glued the sides to form a pocket. The DSP is It's My Party Paper Stack LOVE LOVE this paper it's so versatile.  The mats are Crumb Cake and Mint Macaron card stock. We used the File Tabs Edgelits Die and Lots of Labels Framelits Dies. The stamp sets used are Fab Four and From the Herd. The ribbon is Mint Macaron Dotted Lace Trim. 

We had a great time and I can't wait for the next Bingo game.

Bingo (Part 1)

Sunday 4-24-16 we had our first Bingo mini retreat. We played 5 Bingo games the last one was Blackout.

This is the Bingo cage and board I purchased from Amazon.

Card base is Pool Party CS, Mossy Meadow CS, Birthday Bouquet DSP, Pink Pirouette CS, Whisper White CS, Pool Party ink and Pool Party Glitter Ribbon. Love Love this card simple and easy to make and very sophisticated. 

The bag is It's My Party DSP, Pool Party banner embossed with Fluttering embossing folder, chevron ribbon (retired), lace ribbon (retired), vellum (retired from Sale-a-bration), pearls  and Mini Metallic clothespins (on the retiring list).

Birthday Card

This is the birthday card we made at last Saturday's Card class.  I LOVE the Designer Series Paper Stack 

It's My Party (140552). There are 48 sheets, 4 each of 12 double-sided designs one side is party theme 

and the other side has fun designs that can be used for any occasion. We added some Gold Glimmer Paper

(133719) for that extra sparkle. The corners on the cake layers were rounded with the Project Life Corner Rounder punch (135346).

First Card Tutorial/FREE Designer Series Paper?!

We hope everyone's holidays have been wonderful. We had a wonderful Christmas and good start to the new year.

We created our first video doing a card tutorial. It has been a long time coming. We both have wanted to make a video for some time now. It was much more difficult than I thought! I will now look at other's differently! It takes courage to put yourself out there on the world wide web, but the editing and process that goes along with it is crazy! I'm not sure how many I could do or how often, especially during school, but I did have fun and would love to do more.

 

The card I created is an interactive card using one of the latest stamp sets from the Occasions Catalog called, Beautiful Ride. Isn't it adorable?! It's like an old Volkswagen bug. My first car was a Volkswagen, so there is a special place in my heart for them. It wasn't a bug, it was a Passat, but still, they are related. In fact now, my cousin has a little yellow bug, the newer one. I think that is what inspired me for this card. Her birthday is this month and so I just went from there. There are so many different types of cards you could make with this set using the different sentiments.

Christmas Blog Hop

25 days til Christmas, the countdown has begun!! If you haven't started shopping for presents you had better get started because it is already time to wrap them up and put them under the tree. The kraft bag is perfect for home-made Christmas goodies or even a gift card in tissue.

OnStage Fun in San Diego, CA

Hello Everyone, this past weekend Stampin' Up! held a mini convention type get together in San Diego, CA.

Above is a picture of some of that fun...Ashley my beautiful daughter, myself, my upline and dear friend Diana Gibbs ( Stamping With Di ) and Denise Rogers one of my wonderful downline members and best friends. We had so much fun and learned lots of new techniques and made some wonderful make-n-takes with some of the new products coming out in January. We also got a sneak peek at the new spring Occasions catalog and the Sale-A-Bration catalog. Both of them will go live in January 2016. Besides learning and playing it was also a great way to make some new friends hello to Ashley in Highland, CA and Betsy (and Mom) in Lenore, ID.  Come back and visit us again soon to get all the information on the new catalogs.
